Specialty Mail Servers

A client in Germany required a highly specialised mail server to perform some rather unusual tasks:

• Detach files from incoming email and store them on the mail server.
• Detach files and FTP them to another server within their network.
• Detach files, convert them, and send them to mailing lists.

This system is based on a Linux IMAP mail server and various Linux tools.
